AUSTRALIAN FASHION WEEK

This year's Australian Fashion Week seemed to lack a strong focus on menswear, as the prominence of male models striking poses for social media often overshadowed industry priorities when seated. However, amidst this backdrop, the runway showcased a captivating array of styles. Monotones and denim jeans stood out as enduring staples, while designers breathed new life into traditional motifs with modern expressions of indigenous prints. The allure of sheer fabrics added an element of intrigue, while darkness permeated many collections, evoking a sense of depth and mystery. Despite the dominance of social media spectacle, the runway remained a canvas for innovative design and a celebration of diverse aesthetics.

CHANGE IS GOGOS

Jordon Gogos was our underdog; relatable, humble and hard working. Like many of we yearned to be part of this fashion industry bubble in Sydney, yet Gogos earned his place the good old fashion way, putting in the hard yards more than often under a pile of recycled fabric in his once small studio apartment near Sydney’s Kings Cross.
Gogos was the shake up our industry needed, we were inspired by a dreamer, a visionary with heart. When Gogos &
@ubank announced the Feel-Good Fashion Fund initiative to support an often underfunded industry of creatives how could we not talk about it.
